Attica – Josephine J. Darwactor, 49, of 809 E. Jackson St. died at 6:10 a.m. Saturday in Community Hospital at Williamsport shortly after admission. Mrs. Darwactor was a member of Sterling Christian Church. She had attended Veedersburg schools and has been a resident of Attica for 24 years. Born Aug. 9, 1931, at Veedersburg, she was a daughter of Wilbur and Grace Janeway Sprouls. In 1951, she married Charles William Darwactor, who preceded in death. She is survived by three sons, Michael, Dan and Kenneth Darwactor, all of Attica; three daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Rainwater of Williamsport, and Susan and Deborah Darwactor, both at home; two sister, Mrs. Joe (Frances) Ratcliff of Wingate and Mrs. Harold (Maxine) Hutts of Edwardsburg, Mich.; a brother, Ernest Ray Sprouls of Hammond; her stepmother, Mrs. Verdie Sprouls of Veedersburg; and three grandchildren. Services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maus Funeral Home at Attica with the Rev. Terry Green officiating. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Mrs. Josephine J. Darwactor of Attica, age 49, died Saturday morning, January 31, in Williamsport Community Hospital. She was born in Veedersburg, August 9, 1931, the daughter of Wilbur and Grace Janeway Sprouls. June 30, 1951, she married Charles William Darwactor, who died January 22, 1969. Mrs. Darwactor attended Sterling Christian Church.

  Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Cheryl Rainwater of Williamsport, Susan and Deborah Darwactor, both at home, three sons, Michael of Attica; Dan of RR 1, Attica, and Kenneth of RR 4, Attica; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Ratcliff of Wingate and Mrs. Maxine Hutts of Edwardsburg, Michigan; a brothers, Ernest Ray Sprouls of Hammond; her stepmother, Mrs. Verdie Sprouls of Veedersburg; and three grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Terry Green officiating. Burial was in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. – thanks to S
